We underwrite each risk on its own merit and have a specialised underwriting team with a track-record in providing valuable insurance solutions, exceptional and reliable results in everything we do. We genuinely aim to work with our clients to manage their exposures and assist them to mitigate their risk.
G.O.A.T. Insurance will operate as a vertically integrated ‘Registered Business Name’ of Market Lane Insurance Group Pty Ltd, a leading independent Australian wholesale insurance underwriting agency.
Where does the term ‘the goat’ come from?

According to popular literature, the modern term ‘the GOAT’, or the Greatest Of All Time, can be attributed to Muhammad Ali. In his time, the world-famous legendary boxer was popularly nicknamed and self-proclaimed as “The Greatest,” which was then turned into the ‘G.O.A.T’ for publicity in the 1990s. Since that time, the term has become common vernacular when referring to anyone or anything deemed to be ‘the greatest’, regardless of their field of endeavour.
So where does one begin and where does one end? Think Michael Jordan or Lebron James. Tiger Woods or Jack Nicklaus. Serena Williams or Raphael Nadal. Nadia Comaneci or Simone Biles. Pharlap or Winx! Our great, Sir Donald Bradman, or indeed, the original GOAT himself, the one and only Muhammad Ali.
